If your driver has just obtained their CDL and you want them to drive as a CDL holder, there are a few steps you need to take:

DOT Drug Test: Ensure that your driver undergoes a DOT drug test.

Complete Required Forms: Your driver must complete several forms, including a test consent form, a substance abuse history, a Clearinghouse release, and a new Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

The forms can be found here https://lbcfleet.com/resources-2/

Pre-Employment Query: Once registered on the Clearinghouse, your driver needs to complete a full pre-employment query. This query verifies their status in the Clearinghouse database and ensures there are no drug or alcohol violations on their record.

Obtain Proper Endorsements: Depending on the driving your driver will be doing, they may need additional endorsements on their CDL.
